FACADE FACELIFT
PAINT IT CO travelled to Glenmore Park to prepare and paint the external gables, facade, finials, decorative timber fret, 3 timber posts and to re-stain the front entry door of our clients home.

The finials and facade required a good scrape to remove the flaking and peeling paint. This was mainly caused by sun and rain damage. We then patched all the surfaces where required to fill holes and cracks and prevent further damage to the timber. Next we sanded the surface smooth and applied a coat of sealer as a base to seal the timber and the patchwork. To finish, we applied 2 coats of external Taubmans All Weather low sheen to match the existing colour.

The gables, decorative timber fret and 3 timber posts required a good wash and wipe down with sugar soap to remove the dirt and cob-webs that had been there for a while. We then gapped and patched the areas where cracking had appeared in the joints. Finally, we applied 2 coats of external Taubmans All Weather low sheen to match the existing cream colour.
The timber front entry door had visible areas where the timber had greyed due to the sealer and stain wearing away. We sanded back those affected areas and matched the stain as close as possible and applied 3 coats of stain. We then applied 2 coats of clear polyurethane satin to seal the surface and protect it from the weather.
